1 Adaptability
LEO is designed to operate both in a fixed laboratory and in a mobile laboratory.
Bringing the instrument directly on site eliminates artefacts related to sample storage, reduces analysis time, and ensures data that is more representative of the actual odour source.
2 Dilution system
LEO’s dilution system is designed in-house and represents the instrument’s main distinctive technical feature. It offers 29 dilution steps with a √2 factor, software-selectable, providing a concentration range wider than other yes/no olfactometers. The analytical recovery of odorants ranges between 92% and 99% — well above the 70% required by the UNI EN 13725:2022 standard. Dilution accuracy is below 5%.
3 LEO Control Software
The dedicated software supports the laboratory from session setup through report generation. It ensures full traceability, real-time visualization, and full GDPR compliance.

4 Panel and ergonomics
LEO supports up to 4 simultaneous panel stations. The nasal masks are height-adjustable to ensure the optimal position for each operator. The response button is separate from the main body of the instrument and suitable for both right- and left-handed users, reducing distractions during analysis.
5 Compliance and certifications
LEO meets all the requirements of the UNI EN 13725:2022 standard. It is a Made in Italy product with CE marking, fully developed and assembled by ARCo SolutionS s.r.l. The standard warranty is 24 months, extendable up to 5 years through service contracts.
6 Support
ARCo SolutionS provides rapid technical assistance throughout Italy. A replacement unit is available to avoid laboratory downtime during calibration and maintenance. The team is available for consultancy in preparing for accreditation audits.
LEO Control Software
Control Software is developed exclusively for the LEO olfactometer and supports the laboratory through every stage of the work: from setting up the measurement session to quality management and final report production. The interface is designed to minimize operational errors and maximize analytical efficiency.
Quality and Traceability
The software ensures full traceability of all changes made to the database. Data is always available and easy to retrieve, making accreditation audit preparation simple and stress-free.
Real-time and performance
During each analysis session, the software displays measurements in real time. Accuracy and repeatability parameters are automatically recalculated, both for the individual panellist and for the laboratory as a whole, providing constant control over analytical performance.
Compliance and language
LEO Control Software is developed in compliance with GDPR Regulation 2016/679. User documentation and management manuals are written in Italian.
